MEN
THURSDAY 2ND FEBRUARY:
There was plenty of residual moisture following the recent wet, and despite the preferred lies being in opperation, the greens staff did an excellent job to present the course in the manner in which it was. Keith Knight,[16], appreciated it most, winning the day with 40pts, while Andrew Campbell,[14], continues to refine his game, taking the runner up prize, after having the best of a count back from George Smith – Roberts.[22]. There was a count back on 34pts for golf balls.
SATURDAY 4TH FEBRUARY:
Thanks to some great work by the greens staff, players were able to enjoy a course in remarkably good condition for the Single Stroke for the February Monthly Medal. Never the less, preferred lies were in operation, and the run was virtually non existent, and all this led to there being a count back on 75 for golf balls. The Medal, and the B Grade win, went to Greg Petty,[20], who returned what was, in the conditions, a pretty nifty nett 63. Pete Smith,[14], also did well to keep his score in the low 60’s, in fact 64 to win A Grade. Ian Spencer’s 71, achieved off 23, was good enough to win C Grade, after a count back from Woodburn – Evans Head visitor, Robert Turner,[22]. President Malcolm Olive,[10], was runner up in A Grade with 67, while Lismore visitor, Graham Costello,[17], filled that position in B Grade Casino Veterans Golf Results Tuesday 31st January:
