Wednesday, 28th February. WOW; how well did the course recover after the 110 mls of rain causing flash flooding all through the town on Monday afternoon. The greens were looking and playing exceptional, and the fairways have dried out really well. Richmond Dairies Representative Julie Llewellyn (16) played a lovely game of golf to take out the Division 1 Prize with 36 points. Runner Up Louise Formaggin (20) played her first game of the year well to finish with 34 points. Division 2 Winner was Judy Karam (29) with 32 points from Heather McAndrew (28) on 31 points. Division 3 Winner Johneen Pluis (43) is on her way down the handicap ladder with 36 points from new Player to Casino Debbie Hansen (33) finishing her round with 36 points. Balls went to 31 on a c/b and the Turkey’s Nest has 8 balls in it which was not won. Julie gave us a great insight into Richmond Dairies and what they do, along with the many jobs they provide to our locals.

We were lucky enough to hear from our Club Champion Jackie Bratti in regard to her WGNR District Champion Representative experience participating in the GA Amateur Championship held in Canberra at the beginning of the year, and then going on to the NSW Champion of Champions 36 hole event at Manly Course, where she finished in 4th position in the Gross over 18 holes and also the Nett over 36 holes. Congratulations Jackie, it was great to hear from you; what a challenge to do 36 holes in one day.
This Friday 2nd March is the Therese Schier Trophy, along with sponsored NTP’s from Debbie, Loretta and Carolyn.
